Being a judge at a massage championship is both an honor and a responsibility. As someone who has competed on the world stage and dedicated my life to healing arts, stepping into the judge’s seat allowed me to see the profession from a new angle one that’s inspiring, humbling, and deeply rewarding.
A Celebration of Skill and Soul
Each championship brings together talented practitioners from around the world. They don’t just showcase technique they bring their culture, intention, and personal story to the table. As a judge, I witnessed the power of healing through touch, rhythm, and presence. Some competitors brought centuries-old traditions. Others innovated with bold creativity. All shared one thing in common: heart.
The Weight of the Scorecard
Judging isn't just about assigning numbers. It's about listening with your hands and observing with your heart. We evaluate flow, body mechanics, technique, client comfort, and originality but we also pay attention to the unspoken: the energy in the room, the emotional depth, the connection between therapist and receiver.
Every score given is a recognition of effort. Every critique is a seed for growth.

Growth for Everyone—Even the Judges
I learned so much through this experience. Watching others express their healing art pushed me to reflect on my own. It reminded me of why I started. It reignited my passion for continuing education, community support, and helping others rise in this beautiful profession.
Whether I’m on the table, in the training room, or judging a competition, my purpose remains the same: to honor this work and uplift those who do it with care. That is the true heart of Thai massage—and why I believe we offer the best massage in San Francisco.
